What do you do at Calvary?
I am a Preschool Teacher.

How did you come to Calvary and how long have you been here?
My daughter was a former preschool student. I was observed teaching an art lesson to her class as a “community helper” and was hired shortly thereafter. I joined Calvary Preschool in 2004 as a Jr. K teacher and Fine Arts Teacher.

What is your educational background and training?

I graduated in 1990 from Cal State San Bernardino with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies (Education) and a Minor in Arts in the Classroom, which encompasses Music, Art and Drama.  I was a contracted Fine Art Teacher for five years teaching children throughout Orange County.  I have attended Santa Ana College and community courses in my city to further my education.  I have been teaching for over 21 years.

Where were you born and raised?

I was born in Santa Ana and raised mostly in Anaheim, CA. I graduated from Loara High School.

What is your favorite memory from your time at Calvary Christian School?

Too many to count!  I have enjoyed the sweet innocent and funny conversations of my students.  I have loved seeing them learn through playing and exploring.  The best has been seeing them receive Christ and understand His great love for them.

Who have been the biggest spiritual influences in your life?

My awesome Pastor, Rick Warren, and all the teaching pastors at Saddleback Church, my small group members, and my fabulous co-workers have played a huge part in my spiritual journey.
